Talking Balls has learned that Derry Co Board officials have been summoned to Washington DC to advise US election Officials on best practice for the forthcoming presidential elections.

It understood that Donegal was not the first choice County to advise the Yanks – that honour fell to Cork, themselves embroiled in another managerial cock-up. But it emerged that during a telephone call between Nancy Pelosi, Head of the House of Representatives, and Cork Officialdom there was a breakdown in communication. According to one Big Yank, “Goddam it, Nancy just plain couldn’t understand a word those good ole boys from Cork were saying. Hell yeah we love the Irish.”

Having failed to secure their first choice candidate it is understood that the Americans went to Donegal for their advice. One of the issues for Americans in this election is that they wish to simplify an over-complicated process and by the process of reverse engineering they feel that the Tii Chonaill men can help.
